Who we help

Street Connect exists to offer hope and opportunity of change to the disadvantaged and marginalised in society. We work to support men and women who are 18 years and over. The individuals we work with come with a range of complex needs including: various addictions, homelessness, loneliness & social isolation, mental health issues, trauma, offending and poverty among other issues. Our hope is that through the various services we provide, they will feel supported, motivated and able to take positive steps towards a brighter and more fulfilling future.

Our Approach

Our approach to recovery is relationship focused, client centred and holistic.

Relationship focused because we recognise the importance of building social networks and the role of long-term dependable relationships in successful recovery.

Client centred because we build our support around the circumstances, issues and aspirations of each individual we work with.

Holistic because we understand that successful recovery must address the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of each individual.

Through this approach we seek to connect with people who are seeking help in the midst of life controlling issues and empower them to build a life for themselves that is both positive and fulfilling.

Response to drug related deaths statistics

Let me begin by expressing my sincere condolences to the loved ones across our nation who are having to learn to live with the impact of losing their loved ones to drugs. Every one of the 1,339 lives lost across 2020 in Scotland, and the many more in 2021 and in previous years, are a great loss to many....
