It can be an extremely difficult transition for people re-integrating back into the community after successfully completing a residential rehab program, and often people can fall back into destructive habits due to a lack of support and community.

This is where the local church comes in. Where better to get support and integrate into a healthy community than integrating into a local church?

For those reintegrating back into the community after residential rehabilitation we currently provide supported accommodation, voluntary work and help to access vocational training or employment as appropriate.

Could your church help someone get their life back on track as they seek to take the next steps towards becoming contributing members of society?

Support & Purpose

By providing support, volunteering opportunities, and helping towards further education or employment, it not only provides the vital support needed at this stage of the individual's journey, but also gives purpose and helps them use their time meaningfully.

Move-on accommodation

We currently have 2 move-on flats in Glasgow with 4 bed spaces, where men or women who have successfully completed a residential rehabilitation program can get further support whilst reintegrating back into the community and helping them prepare for independent living. The usual stay of residents is 6 - 18 months. Residents will receive support through a designated Support Worker and also from our Housing Support Co-Ordinator for housing management issues. This is a vital part of our aftercare program, as we seek to support people to become valuable contributing members of society once again.

After doing a Teen Challenge programme I found freedom in Christ. From not having any opportunities to having many. I moved into a Street Connect move-on flat and Street Connect has given me the opportunity by giving me the chance to volunteer and offer hope to those in addiction, homeless and with life controlling issues. -  Mark

Obviously providing housing is a different level of support than offering the other above mentioned areas of support. If this is something you are interested in, then there are a number of different options we could explore.
