We were so excited to reopen our café this month! After a couple months of refurbishment and much needed maintenance work, the café is now open and fully functioning again. Our city centre café has been the centre of a lot our outreach and was where the work of Street Connect first grew. Over the years it has been a place where we have connected with many people who were lost in the midst of life-controlling issues, and we are happy to continue with this mission now that we’ve given the walls a new coat of paint (among other things)! We celebrated the re-opening with our Saturday drop-in café which was attended by many of our staff and volunteers.

This refurbishment was only possible because of the support from the Scotmid Co-op Community Connect Fund and the Gannet Foundation. We are really grateful to both of these organisations for supporting us in developing the café as a more attractive and usable space, and look forward to seeing what will grow here in the coming years.

We are really happy with how the café is looking. We want to thank the Co-Op Community Fund, Garnett Foundation and Glasgow City Church for funding the renovations. It was great seeing the café so full on the relaunch of our Saturday night drop-in café and look forward to seeing many lives impacted and changed in this now fantastic space!
