Good News – Moving On! Jamie (pictured above), went from chaos to hope. Here's his story: “My life had become very chaotic and I did not see a way out. I knew I had to try something different or I was going to die. My something different was God. I turned to God and he has set me free from drugs. I have my life back, praise God! I have just moved into my own flat. I am working, I drive a car, paying bills. Street Connect helped me to settle back into community after time in rehab. They were a great support and helped me along the way, I was in their Move-On Flat for a year which enabled me to find my feet. I am so grateful for my supportive help. My hope for the future is that I will be able to give back and help others get out the same mess I was in. Keep moving forward, to have the abundant life that God promises. Hosea 2:15 – ‘I will return her vineyards to her and transform the valley of trouble into a gateway of hope’ – (to be a doorway of hope for others).” Jamie had, until recently, been working with Street Connect, as an Outreach Worker. However, Jamie has left Street Connect to work with one of our partners, Bethany Christian Trust. That said, Jamie is still working closely with Street Connect, due to our partnership with Bethany Christian Trust, to facilitate our Community Recovery Programme and to work at our Drop-In in Possilpark, Glasgow.
