Trustees

Alistair Barton - Chair

Alistair became the Chair of the Board of Tustees in October 2021 and has vast experience serving on various charity boards in Chairman and Secretary roles.

He has a great knowledge of charity law, policy, planning, data protection, finance and HR issues. He previously worked as a Senior Manager for the NHS and still does policy work as a consultant P/T, primarily with charities and housing associations and served on our Board of Trustees as Secretary from 2018 before taking the position of Chair.

Euan Gordon - Vice Chair

Euan joined the board in 2020, becoming Vice Chair in late-2021. Euan is a Director at a Marketing and Communications agency based in Jersey.

Euan comes with a broad range of experience in multiple marketing disciplines and has spent time in church leadership as a Youth Pastor, through which he worked with young offenders and was raised in the mission field.

Anne Rutherford - Secretary

Anne took up the position of Secretary of the Board of Trustees in October 2021 and is a a retired GP.

Since retiring as a GP, having worked in the health service for 37 years (with 32 of those as a GP working in an area of high deprivation), Anne has been involved in voluntary work related to a coffee shop/bookshop and a school both connected to the church she attends. In addition to her role at Street Connect, Anne is also a trustee with a charity local to her which is involved with helping those with addictions. Anne joined the Street Connect Board of Trustees in 2019, taking on the position of Secretary in October 2021.

Graeme Barclay - Treasurer

Graeme Barclay our Treasurer runs his own financial planning company and has done so for the past 14 years. He joined the board of trustees in 2018.

He has a lot of experience in working with trusts and financial planning meeting both immediate and medium to long term objectives. He has also led the work of Teen Challenge Edinburgh for 5 years, working specifically with those in addiction. This mix of skills serves the board well.

Alistair Matheson - Trustee

Alistair is the ex-Chair of the charity, holding the post from July 2015 until October 2021.

Alistair is the Pastor of Glasgow City Church and has been a Pastor for over 20 years. Hed has been involved in pioneering work, as well as having experience of working with those in addiction. He also oversees the Apostolic Church Network in Scotland and has previous experience chairing other charities.

Peter Vincent - Trustee

Peter is the ex-Chair and Vice Chair of the board and is a retired senior pastor of Glasgow City Church. Peter is also a Co-Founder of Street Connect, along with Ricky & Julie McAddock.

Peter therefore has a wealth of experience in supporting people in day to day life, reaching out to people in the local community and in management. He was also on the national leadership team of the Apostolic Church so comes with great leadership skills and experience.

Omotunde Dipo-Lawuyi - Trustee

Tunde joined the Board in 2021 and is an HR Professional, having worked in various HR capacities in Nigeria and in the UK.

Tunde has an MSc in Human Resources Management from the University of Strathclyde and is currently studying for a Professional Doctorate at the University of Dundee. Further, Tunde has also previously led the Children's Church in Glasgow City Church.

Vivien Goodbrand - Trustee

Vivien joined the Board in 2021 and is qualified social worker having worked in local government as a practitioner and manager for most of her career, primarily with children and families.

Vivien's work has covered a range of areas from youth justice to family support, alternative care and aftercare as well as commissioning, HR and policy and service development. Vivien is currently on secondment to a national social work leadership organisation as policy and practice lead. Outside of work, she supports the work of her local church, and is involved with a charity working with local NHS and government in Central Asia to deinstitutionalise care and develop support to families.
