We are pleased to announce that we have an exciting new partnership beginning in Greenock next week!

Where?

The connection is in partnership with Prospecthill Christian Fellowship, located on Prospecthill Street. Inverclyde has historically been in the top four Scottish councils facing addiction issues at a high level, and Greenock itself has no working street outreach in place as of yet, so this project will be a great opportunity for reaching out into the area of Inverclyde and the communities of need there.

Who?

Our operations manager Alex Nicol will be leading the project, starting on the 7th of May, with a drop-in cafe and community recovery group that will happen every Tuesday (more details here). This will look to compliment existing services in the local area. Alex states “We are here to connect with people on the street and support them towards embracing recovery and making positive lifestyle choices. We expect to partner well with existing specialist support agencies already based in Inverclyde”

We’re really encouraged by the opportunity to extend our work into new areas, in a Church that is already planted in their community, and we hope it will allow more people to find the support and recovery they need.

If you’re local to Greenock and would like to be involved with this project as a volunteer, you can sign up here, or contact the project leader, Alex Nicol, for more details ([email protected])
